Anchor Enterprises began as a small metal shop in 1977. The business was started by Asa and D. W. Peugh as a miscellaneous metals business. Today the next generation has taken this family business that started out in granddad's barn to the next level and now Anchor Enterprises is one of the major steel fabricators in the area.

Anchor services contractors by supplying structural steel for all kinds of commercial projects including public schools, college facilities, restaurants, office buildings, and poultry processing plants. Examples of clients from recent years include Sussex County Government, Pocomoke High School, Perdue, Allen Family Foods, The Zwaanendael Museum, McDonalds, Worchester Career and Technology Center, Dover Monster Mile Site Amenities and the Salisbury Fire Station.
